In 1861 James Davis, aged 60, born in St. Michael Penkevil, farmer of 300 acres employing 10 men, merchant, and wife Elizabeth Davis, aged 44, born in Crowan, farmer's wife, were living in Tregoning, St. Ewe, Cornwall. With them was daughter Marrianna (21) of Cornelly, farmer's daughter.
