In 1901 Henry Chester Vivian, aged 31, born in Swansea Glamorgan, coal contractor, and wife Gladice May Vivian, aged 25, born in Cardiff Glamorgan, were living at 12 Plymouth Rd., Penarth, Glamorgan. With them was son Arthur H. S. (1) of Penarth.

In 1911 Henry Chester Vivian, aged 41, born in Swansea, coal exporter, and wife of 13 years Gladice Mary Vivian, aged 35, born in Cardiff (mother of 2 children), were living in Roskear Park Rd, Penarth, Glamorgan. With them were children (born in Penarth) Arthur Henry (11) and Averil Mary (9).
