In 1901 Thomas Tremelling, aged 49, born in Hayle Cornwall, coppersmith, and wife Hannah M Tremelling, aged 50, born in Hayle, were living at 40 Spencer Avenue, Devonport, Devon. With them were children (born in Hayle) Harry T (20), engine fitter's apprentice, Lilian M (18), pupil teacher, Alfred (10), and Gladys M (9).

In 1911 Thomas Tremelling, aged 59, born in Hayle, coppersmith, and wife of 34 years Hannah Maud [sic] Tremelling, aged 60, born in Hayle (mother of 6 children, 2 deceased), were living at 40 Spencer Avenue, Devonport. With them were children (born in Hayle, single) Lilian Matilda (28), assistant school mistress, Alfred (20), fitter's apprentice, and Gladys Mary (19), assistant school mistress.

In 1921 Thomas Tremelling, aged 70, born in Hayle, retired coppersmith, dockyard Devonport, and wife Hannah Maria Tremelling, aged 70), born in Hayle, home duties, were living at 40 Spencer Avenue, Devonport.

DEATH OF MR. T. TREMELLING

FORMERLY OF HAYLE

Old friends at Hayle will regret to hear of the death of Mr. Thomas Tremelling, after a brief illness. For many years he was with Messrs. Harvey and Co., Hayle, and for a long period in Devonport Dockyard. His son, Mr. H. T. Tremelling, is a sea-plane draughtsman at Southampton. Mr. Tremelling leaves two sons (Messrs. H. T. Tremelling and A. Tremelling), and two daughters (Mrs. Werry and Mrs. Norris). While at Hayle the family lived at Commercial-road.

The funeral of Mr. Tremelling took place on Wednesday, Mar. 18. The mourners were: Mrs. T. Tremelling (widow), Messrs. H. T. Tremelling and A. Tremelling (sons), Mrs. E. Werry (daughter), Miss D. Werry (granddaughter), Master Roy Norris (grandson), Mr. E. Werry and Mr. W. Norris (sons-in-law), Mr. E. T. Coombe (brother-in-law), Mr. F. Coombe and Mr. S. Coombe (nephews).
