In 1835 Hercules Paynter was a beneficiary of the will of his brother Francis Paynter of Denmark Hill, who left him 50 guineas and 20 guineas each to his children.

In 1841 [blank] Paynter, aged about 70, not born in the county, builder, and wife Elizabeth Paynter, aged about 65, not born in the county, were living in St. Gregory by St. Paul, London. With them was daughter Elizabeth (35), born in the county.
