The funeral of Mr. James Palmer Barnard, aged 50, of 6, Church-road, Pool, took place on Saturday at Trevenson Church, Pool, the Rev. J. F. Bailey officiating. Deceased served throughout the Great War, and worked as an underground miner at South Crofty Mine practically all his working lifetime. He had played Rugby for Camborne, and also represented Cornwall county. Mourners were Messrs. F. Barnard (brother, who also represented J. Davies, uncle), L. Rowe (stepson), J. and D. Jarvis and J. Daniell (nephews), W. Jarvis, G. Garland, and P. Yeo (brothers-in-law), W. Reed, J. Sedgman, A. Weeks, W. H. Curry and J. Warren (cousins). South Crofty Mine was represented by Capt. A. Stephens, Capt. T. Williams, and others....
