In 1901 Mary J. Teape, aged 36, born in St. Columb Cornwall, and husband Charles R. Teape, aged 35, born in Scotland, clergyman Church of England, was living in St. Marks Vicarage, Devonport, Devon. With them were children Charles F. (4) of Kingston Surrey, and Mary M. (1) of Devonport.

In 1911 Mary Jane Teape, aged 46, born in St. Columb Minor (mother of 2 children), and husband of 15 years Charles Richard Teape, aged 45, born in Edinburgh, Midlothian Scotland, clergyman (established church), were living at 5 Tamar Terrace, Devonport. With them was daughter Mary Marshall Teape (11) of Devonport.

In April 1919 Mary Jane Teape, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's estate.

In 1921 Mary Jane Teape, aged 56 years 10 months, born in St. Columb Minor, widow, was with her sister Louise Hosking and her family at 1 Silverdale Rd, Oxton, Cheshire.

In the 1939 Register Mary J Teape (b. 28 Aug 1864), widowed, unpaid domestic duties, was living at 28 Saint Hilary Terrace, Plymouth, Devon. At the same address was (daughter) Mary M Teape (b. 19 Jan 1900), domestic science teacher.
