In 1881 Caroline Bellman, aged 14, born in Camborne Cornwall, was working as a domestic servant for Reginald B. Rogers, vicar of Sancreed, in Vicarage, Sancreed, Cornwall. Caroline's mother was also employed as a domestic servant there.

In 1901 Carrie Toy, aged 35, born in Camborne, and husband James Toy, aged 37, born in St. Erth, domestic gardener, were living in Trelisick Ct, St. Erth, Cornwall. With them were children May (9) of Camborne, Stuart (7) of Hayle, and Carrie's mother Caroline Bellman (60) of Camborne, widow.

In 1911 Caroline Toy, aged 43, born in Camborne (mother of 2 children), and husband of 20 years James Toye, aged 45, born in St. Erth, domestic gardener, were living in Trelissick Cottage, Hayle. With them were children (born in St. Erth) May (19) and James Stuart (17).

In 1921 Carrie Toy, aged 54, born in Treslothan Camborne, and husband James Toy, aged 56, born in St. Erth, domestic gardener to Mr. John Vivian of Medowside Hayle, were living in Trelissick Cottage, Hayle. With them was son James Stuart (28) of St. Erth, general labourer.
